Wait a second…. that’s not an alpaca! If you caught that, you have a good eye. Teqa is actually a llama. She is a guard for our female herd. She protects them from natural predators like coyotes and dogs. Teqa has a job and she takes it very seriously. She will not likely interact with you if you visit although you might get a hairy eyeball in your direction. Despite that, she would never hurt you. Alpacas and llamas are in the same family so it makes it easy on us for feeding, worming, and all around care. We use her fiber just like we do that alpacas.
